Laver Cup 2019
22 September 2019

After three days of intense tennis action, the Europe Team of the 2019 Laver Cup celebrated their well-deserved victory with Laver Cup partner Moët & Chandon in Geneva, perpetuating the champagne House’s tradition to celebrate life’s triumphant moments. The celebration was represented by the world-famous tennis champion and global brand ambassador of Moët & Chandon, Roger Federer.

It was an amazing three-day tournament that took place at Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland between September 20th and September 22nd. The Europe Team represented by Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Dominic Thiem, Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Fabio Fognini and The World Team represented by John Isner, Milos Raonic, Nick Kyrgios, Denis Shapovalov, Taylor Fritz and Jack Sock, both showed impressive tennis skills and great sportsmanship. Despite amazing shots hit by World Team, Europe Team won their victory and celebrated fittingly with glasses of Moët & Chandon.

Moët & Chandon champagne has always been elemental to the winners’ expressions of joy and celebration, especially in the great sport that is tennis. It was a natural match with the world-famous tennis champion Roger Federer, as both are iconic symbol of global success and eternal style. Indeed, the champagne House takes pride in offering amazing champagne and being a part of the important occasions in history as on official partner of the Laver Cup.

“I am very pleased that Moët & Chandon — which has long supported international tennis competitions—has believed in this new project from the very beginning and decided to be part of it. Their support, and the blue-chip nature of the Moët & Chandon global brand, really enhances the premium identity of the Laver Cup” said Roger Federer regarding the tournament.

Celebrating life’s triumphant moments with elegance, extravagance and sensorial pleasure is the essence of Moët & Chandon. With a strong and long-standing passion for tennis, it was more than natural for the French Champagne House to participate in the Laver Cup as an official partner. From Napoleon’s conquests to royal weddings, from Hollywood’s most dazzling event, the Oscars, to the most prestigious sports events, Moët & Chandon is devoted to honouring accomplishment.
